How Vailor works

Start with your role. Keep the vehicle story moving.

Owners and providers begin in different places, then use Vailor to keep the relationship around a vehicle clearer.

ONE CONTINUING THREAD

Keep moving forward

Build on the vehicle and service information already shared.

For vehicle owners

You shouldn't need to know everything about vehicles to look after yours.

You know what you've noticed. You shouldn't need all the technical answers before you begin.

  1. 01

    Add your vehicle

Add the vehicle or Asset you want to look after. Vailor gives the useful information around its care somewhere to live. Personal Free supports up to 3 active Personal Assets.

Cars are only part of what people own. Vailor can support road vehicles, off-road and recreational Assets, personal marine, and personal machinery with Personal Premium. Available services and workflows depend on the Asset.

  2. 02

    Tell Vailor what you need

Know something's wrong but have no idea what? That's enough to start. Search for a service or Provider, use a relevant Quick Action, choose a service you know, point to an area with the Vehicle Map, or describe what you've noticed.

Depending on the service and Provider, you may be able to request a quote or say you're ready to book, then choose workshop, mobile, or pickup and delivery where available. Vailor helps you start and describe the request; the Service Provider remains responsible for technical diagnosis.

  3. 03

Keep on top of what comes next

Keep useful work history, requests, reminders and future needs connected to the vehicle. Current and accepted work can remain visible, while documents and relevant job information can stay useful later.

Eligible Provider-recorded work can contribute to history, and reminders or recommendations can help surface future needs. Eligible recorded history builds over time; Vailor does not automatically know every previous service.

For service providers

How Vailor works for your business.

  1. 01

    Set up what you do

Create your Provider profile with your business details, services, workshop, mobile or delivery setup, and the relevant operating information Vailor needs to represent what your business actually does.

  2. 02

    Manage the work

Use Vailor for jobs, scheduling, quotes, invoices, reports, documents and filing, and relevant customer, vehicle and job context. You can manually create jobs for customers you already work with. Those customers do not need a Vailor account for manual jobs.

Provider Premium is optional. It adds Staff & Access for team members, roles and permissions, assigned work, technician access to relevant jobs and schedules, and analytics. Provider Enterprise includes these capabilities too.

  3. 03

    Keep the relationship going

Completed Vailor work can remain useful through job documentation, vehicle and customer context, and future interactions. If an existing customer creates an Owner account and requests work through Vailor, eligible completed Vailor work can contribute to your Vailor ratings. Manual jobs do not create ratings.

Start with the parts of Vailor that are useful now, then use more of the workspace as your needs and business grow.
